Rebecca Howarth

Rebecca Howarth is an award-winning designer and her work was recognised at The Goldsmiths Craft and Design Council Awards with a Gold Award in 2013. She is Head of Design at Harriet Kelsall Bespoke Jewellery and is responsible for all design and craftsmanship excellence in the studios, which she combines with designing select bespoke projects.

As a student of Sheffield Hallam University, where she achieved a 2:1 BA (Hons) degree in Metalwork and Jewellery, she won a prestigious competition to design the University's ceremonial mace. Rebecca worked alongside her tutors and the Sheffield Assay Office to create the metre long, 3.5kg silver and gold structure which is used in all graduation ceremonies at the university.

After university Rebecca joined Harriet Kelsall Bespoke Jewellery as Harriet's assistant and she has grown with the business, playing a major part in its success today. The design direction of every Ready to Wear jewellery collection is established by Rebecca and as such she is influential in the buying of gemstones and metal. Rebecca is also working towards ensuring every piece of our Ready to Wear jewellery is crafted from Fairtrade metal. She is ardently spreading the Fairtrade message across the industry and is also a board member on the National Association of Jewellers Education Committee.
