Kirsty studied BA Textile Design at Falmouth University, specialising in Mixed Media and specifically Embroidery Design, where she created a number of fashion fabric collections involving 3D elements such as beading and folding techniques. She finished with a first-class honours degree and exhibited her final collection at ‘New Designers’ in London.
She went on to fall in love with the process of storytelling through jewellery after her Dad commissioned a graduation present from us here at HK Bespoke, incorporating a tanzanite that he had brought back from a trip to Tanzania. Kirsty had a clear vision for exactly how to use the stone in her very own Art Deco inspired ring.
You’ll often find Kirsty working closely with our workshop, as she finds it inspiring to be amongst the construction aspect of the company as well as the design team. Recently, Kirsty has also completed her JET course with the NAJ (National Association of Jewellers) which has given her new ways to improve and expand her knowledge.
