From an early age Georgia has been interested in Art and Design - at just 4 years old she won a Wallace and Gromit colouring in competition! This love continued throughout her childhood, as Georgia, her sister and cousins would have daily drawing contests judged by their grandparents, who to this day still proudly have one of Georgia’s drawings in their kitchen.
Georgia went on to take an Art and Design diploma in her local city of Cambridge, before going on to specialize in printed textiles and surface pattern design at Leeds College of Art. This confirmed her passion for transforming her drawings from flat design into 3D objects.
Throughout her time at University, Georgia exhibited a collection of womenswear fashion fabrics at Premiere vision in Paris and pitched a new collection for the design team at a popular superstore.
After three years of studying textiles, Georgia knew that she didn’t want to follow that specific path. But as luck would have it, a few weeks after arriving home from university, she happened to see an advert for ‘design assistant’ in our Cambridge studio window and after taking the role, has continued to grow as a designer ever since.
Georgia has always loved jewellery and goes out of her way to find unusual and different pieces to those around her. At Harriet Kelsall Bespoke Jewellery, she is able to combine all of the areas of design that she loves together, while seeing her designs come to life.
