Bethanie Green

When Beth was little one of the things she loved to do was go through her Grandmother’s jewellery box and she has vivid memories of trying on the treasure trove of ornate pieces. When her Grandmother died, Beth was honoured to inherit her special jewellery collection which also contained pieces she had picked up on her travels with Beth’s Grandfather. Beth wanted to carry on this tradition so continues to buy a piece of jewellery from every country she visits- she found some real gems whilst travelling during her gap year!

She went on to study BA Fine Art: Studio Practice & Theory at Lancaster University where she achieved a first class degree. Beth also minored in Design and particularly loved the way in which the course allowed her to combine problem solving with experimental art. 

After graduating Beth went to a local gallery with the idea to exhibit some of her sculptures and whilst there she got chatting to a lady who made jewellery-before Beth knew it she was being taught the craft under her guidance. Beth was instilled with the confidence to set up her own part time business designing and making jewellery which was a small scale success. Eager to continue to extend and share her knowledge Beth was led to Harriet Kelsall Bespoke Jewellery where she quickly progressed to the role of Designer. She loves working in an environment where she can be so involved in every piece of jewellery and interact so closely with the materials to ensure a design progresses from a sketch to a much loved piece of bespoke jewellery.
