Alice Hobbs

Alice has always been drawn to creativity, studying Art and Textiles for A-Levels, before continuing to Nottingham Trent University to complete a degree in Costume Design and Making.

She wanted to nurture her love of hands-on design and turn her passion into a career. This lead her to us at Harriet Kelsall!

She joined in 2022 as an assistant and has progressed to a Junior Designer,  increasingly demonstrating a flare for composition and understanding of the processes behind bespoke jewellery. She recently won the Clarity & Success award for one of her JET Certificate projects which is further testament to her talent.

Alice currently specialises in wedding and eternity rings and is evolving her organic-inspired style. Whilst looking into the history of period costumes, her passion for delicate and dainty detailing grew, taking inspiration from florals and embroidery. This route has also opened her to 1920’s Art Deco inspired pieces where she is fascinated by symmetry and interesting stone shapes.

Alice loves spending time with our customers, learning their emotional connections to an idea, and being a part of their story coming to life- from sketch, to goldsmith to a final piece. Seeing their happy faces when something perfect is created together is priceless.
